About The Event
Were you around for the Smackdown early years? We dusted off the old format last year and loved it so we're keeping the Smackdown to a one day wonder (with some fun optional activities on the Sunday!). This year we've added some tasty stretch goals, so book early, tell your mates, bring your nan, see if your cousin's free- coz it's gonna be a big ole party!

Tickets
Full Saturday Pass £40 includes all workshops, social dance and after party
Saturday Social Only Pass £20 includes social dance and after party

Gill is no stranger to the Smackdown. She's taught Breaking at a couple of events and now she's bringing something different! Reggaeton originated in Panama but was popularised in Puerto Rico in the 1990s. The dance has elements of Dance Hall, Hip Hop and Latin styles and this class will give you everything you need to dance til the early hours at the after party!

No competition, no rules just a showcase of how awesome you all are! Grab your mates and come up with a routine, do the Shim Sham to Mambo No.5, or wear matching leggings and swing out for whole song- whatever it is, we're on your team and we'll cheer dead loud for you!
Tell me about the Stretch Goals?
The Smackdown is the longest running swing dance event in the North West. Now, Scousers love a bargain (so much so, we invented Home and Bargain!) so to keep the Smackdown going and keep it affordable in light of rising city accommodation costs and cost of living pressures, we've chosen to have stretch goals instead of charging a higher upfront ticket price. This means that the more people buying tickets, the more cool stuff we can do and the better value the weekend is for everyone. Here's the goals:
Stretch Goal 1 (45+ Tickets sold) we'll add an extra workshop on Saturday
Stretch Goal 2 (60+ tickets sold) we'll have a live swing band on Saturday night
Stretch Goal 3 (80+ tickets sold) we'll put on a slap up lunch for everyone on Saturday- we love a boss butty!
