Workshop and Social Dancing!

Workshop with Jess and Rob followed by social dancing at the Lark Lane Police Station

*Conversation in Motion: Connection Evolved *

This workshop explores how meaningful conversations develop through listening, responding, and collaboration.

Through partner exercises and social dance principles, we will investigate how curiosity, trust, adaptability, and creativity help conversations develop in unexpected and meaningful directions. Together, we'll discover how to move beyond scripted interactions and create genuine exchanges that inspire new ways of thinking and connecting.

Jess has been a keen Lindy hop dancer for nearly 3 years, finding a quick love for swing dance after joining Mersey Swing classes. Jess has a passion for encouraging creativity and personal expression on the dancefloor. They are enthusiastic about challenging fears attached to dancing and inspiring joy and confidence in classes and socials.

Rob is a passionate Lindy Hop dancer, teacher, and aerial enthusiast who has travelled across the UK and internationally to learn from and connect with the wider swing dance community.

Starting his dance journey in Hull with Kingston Swing and later moving to Liverpool, Rob has been an active part of building local dance communities. He spent many years involved with Kingston Swing and later joined the committee at Mersey Swing after relocating.

A strong advocate for inclusivity, role-switching, and non-gendered dance roles, Rob believes everyone should have the opportunity to express themselves equally on the dance floor. Whether teaching aerials or Lindy Hop, Rob's focus is simple: creating welcoming classes where people can learn, connect, and enjoy the journey together.
